We're a small group of volunteers who are concerned with the rise in cyber-crime in the past several years and the toll it's taking on Lakelanders. We personally know people who have been victimized by scammers and hackers.

While local Law Enforcement as well as Federal and State agencies are doing everything they can to fight cyber-crime, we believe a locally led, locally operated, and locally focused, grassroots effort is very much needed, especially given the rise of AI and the way it's enabling fraud. It takes a community to learn about and help each other learn about cyber-crime and how severely it can impact us, our family, friends and neighbors. To this end, we have come together to bring about awareness, provide practical assistance to those who need it, and to advocate for more coordination between Lakeland residents and organizations involved in cyber-safety.
